Didn’t get good until the middle to end.
It took a while to get good. Very anti climatic for a good portion. Pay attention when it does pick up ir you will be lost!

Twist Twist Twist
It’s probably a 4.5 star rating for me. I’m very tough on my five stars. But the book was really good. For quite sometime though. I was just so curious as to how the two separate stories related… But of course, there was a twist… a few of them! It kept me on the edge of my seat for sure.

Exciting and fun!
I admit that the story's location enhanced my reading pleasure--I live in that neighborhood. I liked the fast-pace and the many twists and turns. And, yes, you will have to suspend your disbelief.

Just when you think you can predict what happens next.

Beware!! Potential spoiler alert!!!!
Am I engrossed? Yes! Am I annoyed with how dim witted the main character is?? Absolutely!! I have never talked back incredulously to a book aloud so much!!
Okay, so part 2 just started. And I’m going to make a wild guess, and could be way off the mark. But first let me say about our protagonist, the Critical Care RN Meghan… how did she graduate from nursing school if she was so dumb to not realize she was being conned by “Nat” until she was basically spoon-fed the truth??? But I work RNs who don’t know the difference between a trach and a J-tube (not kidding) so, not surprised.
Anyway, I digress, I just wanted her to be a little more savvy.
My guess is Meghan is caring for the same woman she pushed from the pedestrian bridge. Have I worked out all the details in between? Not yet. It’s just a guess. I also have a strong suspicion that the RN she works with whose wife in pregnant on bed rest is the rapist! 😲
I will come back and revise this review once done. Everyone’s review says the second half is the better. Onward…
